Mt. Nyangani, an enormous mountain that soars up to 2592m, offers an exhilarating experience for those with a thirst for adventure. Regardless of which of the four base-entry points you start from, the peak is just a 1-3 hour trek away for anyone of average fitness. A climb up Mt. Nyangani promises to be both an unforgettable experience and a rewarding test of endurance for hikers and bikers alike.
The mountain’s diverse ecosystem is encapsulated by the beautiful heath that carpets its summit plateau, the dense grassland on its western side, and the perpetually verdant forest that lines its damper eastern slopes. Located approximately 110 km northwest of Mutare, Mt. Nyangani boasts an enriching blend of flora that will leave you in awe. And for an interesting fact – Mt. Nyangani is a source of three rivers, two of which are tributaries to the Mazowe River that eventually feeds into the Mighty Zambezi River.
